SHALOM!  Welcome to JOLT, a new innovative program that is being organized and implemented for all 8th-12th graders in the St. Louis Jewish Community. It is our sincere hope that your son/daughter will choose to make Judaism an integral part of their high school experience by participating in our hands-on, interactive, thought-provoking classes.
We want to create an environment for our teens where they will enjoy coming together to learn from one another, to enjoy each other’s company, and to obtain knowledge that will stay with them forever.

Please contact me if you have any questions about JOLT or want to share ideas.

Looking forward to a wonderful year,
Maxine Weil, JOLT Director

Attendance: Regular attendance is a necessity for achievement in any class. Students are expected to attend class regularly. If you will be absent, please call the director at (314) 442-3757 or email mweil@cajestl.org. With only 8 weeks per trimester and an action-packed curriculum, students are encouraged to arrive on time and return to class on time after the break.

Emergency and Weather Related Closing: In the event of snow or other extreme weather conditions, JOLT will follow the procedure of the
Parkway School District. If Parkway schools are closed, JOLT will be closed. A decision about weather related closing will be made by 2 p.m. on scheduled class days and information will be posted on this website and on the CAJE Emergency and Weather Related Information Phone Line at (314) 442–3775.

Driving: Students who drive to JOLT are expected to drive directly to B’nai Amoona and remain there until the end of the evening at 8:30 pm. The JOLT faculty does not patrol the roadways or the parking lot. We rely on trust and communication between students, parents and faculty for the successful implementation of this policy. Students are expected to use common sense, obey the law and maintain the trust given them by their parents and the faculty.
