Our faculty represents the diversity of Jewish backgrounds that mirror our student composition. JOLT teachers have a love of and talent for teaching teens and a commitment to openness of expression in the classroom.

Ziva Alder is a Community Educator.

Subie Banaszynski works for the Union for Reform Judaism as the Director of Operations for NFTY North America. She holds a MSW from Washington University with a specialty in youth and has taught middle and high school students at Congregation Shaare Emeth for 10 years. Subie brings a great deal of social work and life experience to her teaching.

Robert "Bob" Cohn is Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the St. Louis Jewish Light. At JOLT, he teaches "Jews 'R' News," a current events class from a Jewish point of view. Bob draws upon his more than 40 years of association with the St. Louis Jewish Light, our community newspaper.

Lisa Duetsch, MSW, LCSW, graduated from Washington University with a Masters of Social Work degree. Worked 7 years at the Physical Rehabilitation unit at Barnes Jewish Hospital and two years at St. Johns Rehabilitation. For the last four years Lisa has been the facilitator for two girls programs, one being "It's a Girl's Thing" and the other "Strong Girls". In the past, Lisa has co-facilitated an 8th grade drug awareness program "Now n L8r".

Rabbi Ryan Dulkin is an advanced doctoral candidate in the field of Midrash at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. He has served as an educator in a variety of settings, including the Melton Mini-School of Westchester, New York, CAJE’s Hebrew High and the Solomon Schechter Day School of St. Louis.

Betsy Enger is an amazing chef and educator. She serves as the
Mashgichah, Kosher Supervisor at Congregation B’nai Amoona. Betsy loves sharing her passion for Jewish cooking with campers and students. When she is not in the kitchen, Betsy loves to get away and travel.

Rabbi Ari Hendin is currently involved as an Interfaith Youth Leader and Mentor at Greater St. Louis’ multi-faith community, Prayer leader/shlichat tzibbur at Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Community, teacher in the Center for Adult Jewish Education and JOLT: Jewish Opportunities and Learning for Teens at CAJE St. Louis.  Rabbi Ari was a Rabbinic Intern at The Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia, a teacher at Congregation Beth Or and a student at Gratz College.

Jordan Kadosh has been teaching in the St. Louis Jewish Community since 2002. He's currently a regional organizer for the Missouri Coalition for
Lifesaving Cures.

Rabbi Shmuel Kay is an Independent Education Management Professional, community educator and consultant.

Haley Organ MSW, is the Program Services Coordinator for the Crown Center for Senior Living of St. Louis

Rabbi Michael Rovinsky is a certified Mohel, recognized by the State of Israel. Practicing since 1988, he has performed over 5500 circumcisions. Rabbi Rovinsky received his Rabbinic ordinations from the Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore, Maryland and the Kol Yaakov Torah Center in Monsey New York. He holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Talmudic Law from Ner Israel. He also received a Masters in Administrative Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. He is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and Counseling.

Rabbi "Mike", as he is affectionately known, is currently involved in many aspects of Jewish education and communal youth work. He is an educator for the Florence Melton Adult Education Program and a highly sought after speaker for synagogues and temples throughout the Midwest. Rabbi Rovinsky began his Bris Milah practice in Baltimore Maryland. Prior to relocating to St. Louis, Missouri, Rabbi Rovinsky resided in Dallas, Texas where he developed and continues to lead the Russian Bris Milah Program and has an extensive Bris Milah practice.

He is also the director of the Association for the Advancement of Bris Milah, an organization which strives to provide every Jewish child an opportunity for a Bris Milah.

Andy Schwebel moved to St. Louis from Scottsdale, Arizona where he served as an Assistant Director of a religious school for five years and most recently, he served as the Director of Experiential Education for a Jewish community high school.  His focus is on middle school and high school programming.  He enjoys creating curriculum and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Education at Congregation B'nai Amoona.
