The recently released text "Jewish Sisters in Sobriety" will serve as the text for this salon series type discussion group facilitated by licensed clinical social workers, Judy Zisk-Lincoff and Ilene Joseph. "Jewish Sisters in Sobriety" is the first addicition-and-recovery-themed book calibrated to the specific obstacles Jewish women, teens, and families face; the book provides a strong, collective voice of a population long in the shadows. This series is being co-sponsored by CAJE and JCAFV.

Welcome to the Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs
Adult Institute of Jewish Studies!

If you've never attended an Institute before, you'll want to do so.  If you've attended in the past, you'll want to come back.  Why?  Because this is a treasure-trove...a cornucopia...a piñata...of Jewish learning.  There's a class to satisfy every interest...a course to satisfy every curiosity.  And the faculty is - quite literally- matchless.  Our excellent St. Louis Rabbis and experienced educators all donate their time to help you strengthen your Jewish identity and knowledge.  Tell your family and friends about the Adult Institute and experience five wonderful and stimulating evenings of Jewish education this fall!  Hundreds of adults enjoy classes on Wednesday evenings and class offerings are guaranteed to educate, enrich and enlighten!

The Adult Institute is sponsored by the St. Louis Rabbinical Association, in cooperation with the Congregations of St. Louis and CAJE.  Administrative assistance is provided by CAJE.

2007 marked the 50th year of the Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs Adult Institute of Jewish Studies. The St. Louis Rabbinical Association is proud to have presented a half-century of quality adult Jewish education to the Jewish community.  For five decades our members -- Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and Renewal Rabbis -- have volunteered their time to help St. Louisans strengthen and continue their Jewish education.  The Institute is named in memory of our former excutive director and leader in the St. Louis Jewish and interfaith communities, Rabbi Robert P. Jacobs.
